Sortation and Packing Systems

Ultimately product that is piece picked or picked in case quantities to conveyors need to be prepped for shipping.  Efficient routing of orders to and from packing and/or shipping workstations requires careful analysis of throughput and time studies to determine the quantity and placement of workstations. Further, consideration must be given to properly balance the workload during low and high volume shipping times/seasons. Accumulation conveyor and diverts are often used to achieve this balance.
